you are probably wondering what these two subjects have in common.

well, i have been pondering something for quite some time.

i have been trying to figure out how explain the recent and huge doctrinal shifts of the wtbts since the 2012 annual meeting, and the accompanying modernizing of the jw official website.

There is no need to view any other websites which could be likened to touching the unclean thing, because by doing so, you would be endangering your spirituality and your relationship with Jehovah. In view of the seriousness of visiting such websites, the GB has agreed that Bible principles dictate that anyone doing so risks being disfellowshipped.

The InterWeb is the single biggest threat to keeping minds blinded, and it must be dealt with.

How Long Will ARMAGEDDON Last?

according to the jw doctrine, can armageddon happen any day now?

is it possible that it could happen tomorrow?.

will it last minutes, hours, days?

ANONYMOUZ - The Scriptural description at 1 Peter4:17 says that the judgement starts first with the house of God. Do you believe that this applies to JWs and excludes every other denominational Christian around the earth? Don't we Witnesses have several aspects of false worship and teachings also?

I would suggest that "the house of God" refers to all who claim to be disciples of Christ, not just a percentage.

As far as Matthew 24 is concerned, by applying it to "our time" Witnesses are effectively calling Christ a liar! In verse 21 Jesus said, " for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again."

1) "such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now." The flood was greater, was it not? It would appear that Jesus was referring to the greatest event which would affect (wipe out - verse 22) true worshippers, and that was fulfilled at 66 - 70 CE.

2) "nor will occur again." Witnesses are told that this "terrible great tribulation" is right in front of us now! But Jesus said that it would never occur again, didn't he? It has already occurred, so it can't happen again! Therefore, the GB's 'given' and accepted interpretation is clearly at odds with the Biblical evidence.

However, confirming Peter's warning at 1 Peter 4:17, Jesus stated that he is personally going to bring a great tribulation upon Christian congregations prior to the end, due to the corrupt practices taking place within! Rev. 2:22. The results of Jesus' actions are shown in Rev. 7:14 - many stand firm for truth!

Your insightful research is only providing fuel for the Org's fire, when they decide to disfellowship anyone who consorts with apostates on websites like this which are opposed to "God's Organization".

DS211 - I would not try and interpret much of the symbolic language of Revelation - I don't have that ability which many claim to have.

My opinion is that much of what has been "explained" about Revelation by people who claim to have insight, is nothing more than an attempt to captivate people who likewise make no sense of it at this time.

If it's not crystal clear, then it's not important for me to know just now!

Even the Revised NWT hasn't been changed to fit the lies!!

Are some JWs justified in staying in the org?

most of us left the organisation because we could no longer stand one or other aspect of it, perhaps its very dictatorial administration, the disappointment due to the false promises and vain hopes raised by its leadership, disagreement with the blood ban or pedophile and shunning policies, the feel one gets that this is a business and not a religious organisation manipulating its members to its own profit etc etc.

these are of course valid reasons for rejecting this religion and refusing to identify with it but do the jws who stay in have a valid argument for rejecting leaving the org?

they will say: "ok our religion, our society has its flaws but what human society doesn't?

To answer the OP - Being totally honest, can anyone tell me of any organization/profession/sector of society which isn't corrupt and has countless perverts/criminals operating within? You're gonna get them everywhere, whether you believe this is Satan's system of things or not!

So my view is this, "better the devil you know, (once your eyes are opened) than the devil you don't".

Even Christ prayed that his disciples were "in the world" but were "no part of the world". (John 17:15,16) So no matter where we find ourselves, we can make moral and principled decisions based on our present understanding and knowledge - living our lives as we want to, not as others would have us do!

EDENONE - I agree with you that something BIG is coming - very soon, but I think it is going to be a mixture of "wonderful new lights" to draw closer all those alienated by the two-class system and the increase of partakers, and more money-grabbing!

Therefore, there could be a change allowing everyone to partake, but I truly believe that the BIGGEST shake-up is going to be that the sheep must dig deeper into their wallets.

Money is the main priority - not Bible teachings - therefore increasing income is going to feature very significantly in 2014 I feel.

On that note, I remember hearing some years ago that Coca Cola once requested the Org, permission to advertise on the back of the Watchtower, due to the worldwide circulation. Perhaps "financial pressures" could enable the GB to present such a situation to the 'great crowd' as an acceptable means of generating revenue!!

DS211 - I'm simply stating the conclusion I've reached by reasoning on the scriptural evidence as revealed in the original Greek.

Even the Kingdom Interlinear says at Rev. 5:10 that the 'rulers' will be ON the earth, not OVER it as portrayed in the NWT.

The two hopes, therefore two CLASSES of Christians as taught by the Org only creates a hierarchy with control - something which was anti-Christ = "You are all brothers".

If I'm wrong because of my lack of intellect in interpreting or understanding Scripture, I trust that I will not be adversely judged because of it.

The Biblical evidence, the Greek words used to support a doctrine, and my powers of reason, all persuade me that "ONE body there is, and ONE spirit, even as YOU were called in the one hope to which YOU were called; ONE Lord, ONE faith, ONE baptism; ONE God and Father of all [persons]....." (Eph. 4:4-6)

In contrast, the WTBTS teaches that most Christians are no part of the body, the spirit only comes upon them at baptism, and there are two baptisms - one for them and a different one for the lowly ones. And Christ doesn't mediate for anyone but them!!

Reasons enough not to trust their seriously inaccurate NWT????????????

In a nutshell, the ransom bought back what was thrown away, nothing more! I think it was in the Garden of Eden that the suggestion to be like God was first put to humans. The old lies are the best!

The persons who are producing their own version of the heavenly hope at ANOINTEDJW.ORG are simply using corruptly translated scriptures from the NWT to back up what they claim - just as Brooklyn does!

"I am pressing on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God" - Phil. 3:13-15. Check out the original Greek word used, and its meaning. Paul was referring to the call COMING from heaven, (to accept Christ's atoning sacrifice) he was not telling Christians that their future hope was in heaven!!

Scriptural reasoning and logic exposes the fallacy:

The Org, and no doubt ANOINTEDJW.ORG, will both agree 100% with 1 John 2:2 which describes Jesus' sacrifice as 'propitiatory' or 'equivalency, covering'. Or as Matthew 20:28 describes it, 'a ransom'. It "balanced the scales of justice". g 00 12/8 p. 19

Did it? How balanced can the scales of justice be with countless thousands of humans who die, gaining something which Adam NEVER lost for them? I think the scales have suddenly become severely Un-balanced!

Don't trust the NWT, AJW.ORG - it's leading you up a dead end!!
